With its M4 chip, featuring either an 8-core CPU/8-core GPU or a 10-core CPU/10-core GPU, there is a clear performance gain. The base includes 16GB of unified memory, expandable to 32GB, with storage configurations between 256GB and 2TB SSD. Which means the device is up to 23 times faster for certain tasks than the M1 model and makes incremental improvements over the M3 chip.
