The Client was motivated to create a platform that connects Ukrainian refugees in need of shelter with European families who have spare rooms or empty houses to share. The goal was to facilitate connections between these two groups and use technology to make a positive impact in the lives of Ukrainian refugees. The Client believed in the power of technology to connect people and planned to complement the efforts of NGOs in addressing the refugee crisis.
The Client faced logistical and administrative challenges in coordinating connections between Ukrainian refugees and European families, as well as ensuring the safety and security of all parties involved. There were also language or cultural barriers to overcome, and logistical challenges in terms of transportation and support for refugees. Ensuring that refugees are presented with job openings that align with their skills, experience, and career goals can be challenging, especially when dealing with a large number of job openings and refugees.
A jobs platform must provide an efficient and effective way for refugees to communicate with employers, such as through messaging. This can be difficult to manage, especially if the platform is dealing with a high volume of users and job openings.
To enable rapid development of the platform, we utilized a low-code platform and employed tools such as Webflow for design, Firebase database to store user query data, and N8N to design the process flow and capture logs for improvement. Previously, the client was using Google sheets to save job records, but we introduced Airtable to automate the entire flow, saving countless hours of manual work.
